Launch Event for W3 Philanthropic Ventures, Inc.

College Park, Maryland, December 31, 2017 – Prince George’s County, Maryland based non-profit W3 Philanthropic Ventures (W3PV), Inc. located in Bowie, Maryland will host its launch reception for the community on January 7, 2018 at the Marriott Hotel & Conference Center College Park, 3501 University Blvd, Hyattsville, Maryland 20783.

The community is invited to come out and meet members of the W3PV Team and learn more about their mission and vision as well as see current projects impacting local and international communities.

For years, many in our community have been waiting for additional opportunities to make intentional impact in causes near and dear to them, both local and abroad; while desiring to better understand the dynamics of philanthropy and what it means. W3PV presents its organization as a unique opportunity for this burgeoning group to do just that. “We are a truly viable option in the philanthropic landscape”, stated Weyden Wedderburn, founder and CEO. W3PV is a locally based philanthropic operation with visions of making impacts locally and globally. W3PV is positioning its organization to assist those in our community that have always wanted to make a difference in the life of a student or assist communities economically challenged abroad. “Our community is one of the most generous communities when it comes to giving, we need look no further than our religious institutions,” stated Mr. Wedderburn. Our purpose is to educate the public by helping them to understand the best practices of philanthropic participation while being a conduit that addresses some of the gaps in education and various social causes.”

W3PV will introduce several of its programs currently in operation both locally and globally as well as some of its future intent. Locally, through its education initiatives, the Troy E. Quinn Scholarship assist deserving students at Morgan State University to achieve their dream of a college education while greatly improving their chances of success. Through our social cause initiative, The Moving Haiti Forward effort has assisted in distributing much needed clinical and medical supplies to the devastated communities of Jeremie and Les Cayes, Haiti. This gathering will give more insight on these programs but more importantly allow the community to get involved and make a difference as we make this vision a reality.
