Antawan Anderson
Antawan Anderson is the CEO of Anderson & Company, LLC (ANC). His company primarily provides accounting, tax preparation, and management consulting services. Prior to starting ANC, Antawan worked with Joan M.Pratt, CPA and Associates, Clifton Gunderson LLP (now known as Clifton Larson Allen, 9th largest accounting firm in the U.S.), and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). He was also a member of Smith, Anderson, Veney Enterprises, LLC. His prior experience helped him gain a vast knowledge and understand of many areas of accounting and management consulting.
Antawan’s background includes auditing all the court systems in the United States that comprised of district, probation, bankruptcy and pretrial services. In addition, he worked in the information technology consulting sector for public and government agencies completing SAS70 engagements and business continuity planning. He also assisted with the completion of healthcare procedures and participated on a committee to express opinions on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) laws.
These experiences led to the formation of ANC. Currently, he maintains two offices in Owings Mills and Greenbelt, Maryland.
Antawan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.
He enjoys spending time with his family, working with youth sports activities, and exercising.
