Dear Morgan Faithful:
I would like to personally thank you for awarding me the Troy E. Quinn Book Scholarship. I humbly accept this award and am deeply appreciative of your generosity. I am currently in my3rd year at Morgan and I am a business administration major. I am a member of the Morgan M.1.L.E Leadership Group and this has given me the opportunity to stay focus not only with my
academic studies but to also prepare the way for future endeavors. I am a proud member of Canaan Baptist Church in Philadelphia, and we have a Male Mentoring Program for our male youth – ages 8-16. I can take my leadership goals and help the youth at my church. I have been blessed to have positive role models at my church that mentored me, so now it is my turn to help
our youth. We often sing a familiar hymn at my church and I am reminded of this verse- "If I can help somebody along the way, then my living is not in vain." My future goal upon graduation is to work in a company which will allow me to enter into the Human Resource Dept. and ultimately advancing as an administrator. This scholarship helps to alleviate the financial burden especially being an out-of- state student. I take higher education very serious and my focus is to maintain a good GPA standing. Thank you for your help and I want you to know when I entered Morgan, I made the right decision. I am extremely grateful for
you being a blessing to me.
Sincerely, Malik Applewhite

Dear Morgan Faithful:
Dear Morgan Faithful:
I was recently awarded the Troy E. Quinn Book Scholarship and I wanted to write thank you for the generous support that mad this scholarship possible. The support was very helpful as it allowed me to get all my books for the semester. My name is Esther Akinfe and I am a sophomore Accounting major at Morgan State University. I recently picked up an Entrepreneurship minor this past week. I'm excited about my major and minor because it will
allow me to realize my dreams. I plan on graduating Spring 2020. I am quite involved on campus. Recently I became the secretary of Beta Alpha Psi and the Assistant Events coordinator for the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality. These clubs are great as they improve my networking skills and leadership skills. I plan on graduating and using my degree to become a
Certified Public Accountant and work for the one of the Big Four for some time. I also want to own my own natural hair care line and thus help other women on their quest for healthy vibranthair.I want you to know how much this scholarship means to me. Thank you again for your concernfor Morgan State University students like me.
Sincerely, Esther Akinfe

Dear Morgan Faithful:
I was recently awarded the Troy E. Quinn Book Scholarship and I wanted to write to thank you for the generous support that made this scholarship possible. I am a sophomore psychology major at Morgan and I will graduate May of 2021. I volunteer once a month at my hometown's recreation league. I was a part of the league for 10 years, so of course it was hard to leave after I left for college. That's why I come back in my free time to help set up and run basketball drills and to teach the basic fundamentals ofbasketbal1.
My educational goals are to graduate Morgan State University with a GPA above a 3.2 and obtain my master's degree. I plan to use these credentials to open my own practice as a therapist. I have always wanted to be a therapist because ever since I was a child, I have always been the outlet for my friends who were having problems. Helping people see things from another perspective and listening to them talk has always been rewarding. I believe that people have problems because they do not know how to communicate them. Healthy communication can fix a lot of problems, and I just want to assist people in having that communication. This scholarship helps me get the resources I need to succeed. Since I am able to get my books, I can complete my schoolwork which are the fundamental steps I need to obtain my career goals. I want you to know how much this scholarship means to me and again thank you so much for your concern for students like me at Morgan State University.
